Speed trails of water bugs as they zoom among the swaying seaweed came to mind as this piece evolved. Sometimes what I see is mysterious deep blue water and sometimes warm, shallow water that has abundant green and gold algae dispersed within it. The dichotomy in this piece is the tension between the still, cool mysterious depths versus the warmer golden glowing surface waters.
