This is really taking me back to an era of color that I can’t identify. There is a watercolor feel to this liquid light painting. Multiple layers of washes are used here. I am thinking of the Corn Palace in Mitchell, South Dakota and the walls of Indian corn. There is a distant past that I am thinking about with this work, a past of travelling. But this work is also movement to a new place, a better place, a sanctuary, and a good place to inhabit separate from our current despicable world.
